Sean Hannity Says Bin Laden Would Still Be Alive If President Obama Had His Way

Remember when George W. Bush said this about Osama bin Laden, the terrorist responsible for 9/11?

“I don’t know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don’t care. It’s not that important. It’s not our priority.”
~George W. Bush, 3/13/02

So when Sean Hannity said that President Bush deserved the credit for killing bin Laden, it was rather petty and absurd considering Bush largely ignored the hunt for bin Laden to begin a war in Iraq. Everybody whose mind is tethered to reality knows that President Obama gave the order to get bin Laden.

But that’s not what Sean Hannity believes. He thinks President Obama didn’t want to get bin Laden at all

The president had to make specific decisions to allow the mission into Pakistan to happen and give specific orders to use deadly force if necessary. That's a no brainer. So is Hannity.

Fox News' Lies Keep Them Out of Canada
http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/276-74/5123-fox-news-lies-keep-them-out-of-canada

s America's middle class battles for its survival on the Wisconsin barricades - against various Koch Oil surrogates and the corporate toadies at Fox News - fans of enlightenment, democracy and justice can take comfort from a significant victory north of the Wisconsin border. Fox News will not be moving into Canada after all! The reason: Canadian regulators announced last week they would reject efforts by Canada's right-wing Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, to repeal a law that forbids lying on broadcast news.

Why can't we be more like Canada?

Moutain Mike, Canada laughs at us. I had a friend in Canada, who told me they wonder at our failure to see the big picture of the world, and how other nations take care of their people, and wonder why we think we are "exceptional" when their life span is now 4 years longer than ours, same sex marriage has been available there for years, and we still deny equality in the land of the free and home of the brave. People like Hannity exhibit the lowest form of "news" by lying and spreading fear of anyone or anything, who are not white, "Christian", and regressive. The pompous little fat white guy, Sean makes us all look bad. Fox has no standards of truth in their makeup, just hate and fear, which makes them all a lot of money.

There are a few realities here that Sean Hannity completely ignores:

  • This was country was attacked on George Bush's watch. Imagine the outcry if this had occurred under Obama's administration.
  • George Bush could not get bin Laden and apparently gave up. However, to save face he got Saddam Hussein who had nothing to do with it, and proceeded to engage us in a useless war in Iraq resulting in 4500 americans killed and 35,000 american casualties. Bush's actions were unconscionable.
  • As usual, in a thoughtful approach, Obama gave teh order to get bin Laden and it was successful. Hannity, like most right wing nut jobs, does not want Obama to get credit-period because they want to persist in creating the myth that Obama is weak on defense. You know where that is largely emanating from? Obama's thoughful approach to the Iran issue.

Sean Hannity has absolutely no credibility. He openly lies either directly or by omission on every single program. He is a conservative shill who is given his talking points each and every day.

Wouldn't it be fun to see them in court trying to prove their garbage?

The sad part about this is that in this country, people listen to that crap and believe it. We are a nation of sound bites where people believe everything they hear and don't check out the facts. Who was it that said we are the "United States of amnesia"? Gore Vidal I think. We forget the good and focus on the negative and it is all forgotten by the next election.

I'm afraid you're right on that.

I see in the local papers here, where I live, the same disinformation spread by the likes of Fox "news." These low-info people actually DO believe this garbage. I have had a long-standing "duel" in the newspaper with one character, who is rabid anti-Obama, anti-liberal, anti-Democrat, anti-progress, anti-common sense.

It matters not what I, or anyone else who rebuts his letters, says to the contrary to his ravings, he continues, in the face of easily obtainable facts. He does not want to know facts. They are an inconvenience to his beliefs, that are straight from Fox "news." It's like the madness that gripped Nazi Germany in the 1930's.

Fox is a pox on this nation. When people call it a propaganda station, they aren't overstating or exaggerating.

And don't ever believe that it will be forgotten if President Obama wins a second term, which looks increasingly likely. Until the GOP can regain power, which also is looking less likely, the lies and disinformation will not only continue, they will get worse.

My father fought the Nazis in WWII, and though he never spoke of the war, the one thing he did tell me, which has stuck with me all these years, is to never underestimate the power of a lie. It has held since man was first able to communicate, and still holds true today.

The law against exposing a CIA operative applies to exposing the identity of the operative, which Rove did to Cooper -- and then he brazenly lied about it. Not only that, now we know that Cheney's senior aide, Scooter Libby, confirmed to Cooper that Plame worked for the CIA. That my friends is treason.

Nicely said.

An ego is ALL he has. Tight underwear or not, Fox News (Hannity, O'Reilly and the others) clearly demonstrate that egomania seasoned with ignorance and vitriol is accepted by a large portion of the electorate as an acceptable replacement for information and logic and analytical thought. Many people sadly only are programmed mentally to take in what they WANT to hear rather than what they NEED to hear. Pity that those morons have the capacity to change the world that decent and intelligent people are required to share with them.

According to Sean Hannity, "[eliminating bin Laden] wouldn't have happened if [Obama] had his way." Well, here's a hot flash ferya, Sean. He HAD his way! He would have had every manner of excuse not to take Osama out, including what would amount to an invasion of a sovereign state, the risk of reprisal, the risk of alienating even more Arabs in the region, costing the lives of the Seals, etc. Yet, when push came to shove, he did it and did it cleanly and to perfection. I just love how Teapublikan idiots try to minimize the result: Oh, Bush should get the credit. Oh, it wasn't a tough decision. Oh, it wasn't really Obama's decision. Oh, he should have used drones. Etc, etc. It is EXACTLY this kind of intellectual dishonesty that reveals the moral, intellectual, decency, honesty and patriotism vacuum that exists at the very core of the Tepublikan Pary and which will doom that party forever, starting in November.

Hannity is nuts just like the rest of Fox News. Given Bush did not think getting Bin Laden was a priority, it was clear that we could have gotten Bin Laden years ago if Bush had made it a priority to get the man. Least Obama did make it a priority instead of letting the terrorist be free.

Fox news is so accustomed to lying and getting away with it, they don't know any other way to operate. Hannity needs to be called out on this one. President Obama gave the order to find and eliminate Bin Laden and other key leaders of Al Ouieda. He has done more in three years in the war on terrorism than Bush did in seven. And he didn't blow a trillion dollars to do it either. Every time President Obama uses his executive powers, things get done. It's only when he has to deal with the clowns in the tea party and the rest of the GOP that he has problems and nothing gets done. THEY are the real problem in Washington.

From a similar seed:

It's noteworthy that President Obama approved the Seal Team mission and in the reporting from that mission one of the seals was focused and deliberate when he "took QUICK AIM" and @!$%#ing SHOT BinLaden in the chest and SHOT BinLaden in the head too.

This does not indicate they were there to take ANYBODY alive.

PROVES Hannity IS a SUPER-DUPER IDIOT and a @!$%#ING LIAR and @!$%#ING STUPID !

Next, the dumb-ass, UNPATRIOTIC Hannity will say that the U.S. Seal Team member that shot-to-kill BinLaden was a BAD SHOT and didn't mean to kill BinLaden.
