The makers of a TV series set in 1950s Miami have had trouble casting female extras - because all local women have had boob jobs.
Producers of the series Magic City wanted to make the series as authentic as possible and sent out a casting call for women with natural breasts.
But most of the actress and women who turned up to be cast for the series had undergone breast enhancement operations which were not around in the 1950s.
I’ve actually had better luck finding synchronized swimming groups than I did finding real boobs,' said casting director Bill Marinella.
He said they had to tour Miami until they found women who had not gone under the knife so they could be used in the film.
'We did a lot of research and reached out to burlesque clubs and just finding people on the beach and literally walking up to them on the street and saying, "Hey, you look like you’re right out of The Great Gatsby".'
In one notice sent to local modeling agencies casting director Marinella emphasized what they were looking for
The notice read: 'GIRLS HAD FULLER FIGURES BACK THEN SO NO SKINNY MODELS. ALL-NATURAL — NO PLASTIC SURGERY/BREAST IMPLANTS.'
