Michelle Obama issued a revealing 'none of the above' when asked if she prefers the President in boxers or briefs on Live With Kelly & Michael this morning.

The bold question, which co-host Michael Strahan appeared somewhat embarrassed to ask, was asked in a 'lightning round' at the end of an interview pre-recorded yesterday.

He preceded it with: 'I always get these questions. Oh boy. Please forgive me.'

The First Lady was typically unruffled though, only pausing briefly before delivering her answer.

Though the President himself is also a keen basketball player, his own efforts have not always been successful. In fact, one Thanksgiving game was a complete disaster.

'We had one incident... and Barack busted his lip. Split it. He needed like, 13 stitches,' she recalled. 'And he thought he was going to get this past me...

'But to see the shock, because the photographer was there, got the guy hitting him with the elbow,  the President falling down to the ground holding his lip and my nephew, who is 20, standing over him, going [sharp intake of breath]... they all looked like they broke a window, like, "You broke the President?"'
